The Short Version
We do not know who you are, and we do not try to find out. Nuanyue has no user accounts, no advertising and no advertising trackers. You can read every page here without signing in or telling us anything about yourself.
We do run one measurement script — Google Analytics 4 — so that we can see which pages are actually read. It sets cookies and reports a page view to Google each time you load a page. That is the whole of it. The section below says exactly what it records and how to turn it off.
What We Do Not Collect
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no profile to store.
- No advertising. We run no ad networks and no retargeting, and we do not sell or share data with anyone for advertising.
- No forms. Nothing on the site submits data anywhere.
- No cross-site profile. The measurement script below is not linked to any advertising account, and we do not combine it with any other data.
What We Do Collect
Google Analytics 4
Every page loads Google Analytics 4. It tells us how many people read a page, and roughly where they arrived from. It records:
- The page you viewed, and the page you came from if your browser sent a referrer.
- Coarse technical details — browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language.
- An approximate location — country and city, derived from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store the IP address itself.
- A random client ID, so a second page view from the same browser is not counted as a second person.
None of this is tied to your name, your email address or an account, because we hold none of those.
Cookies. Google Analytics 4 sets two first-party cookies on this domain:
_ga and _ga_G-XJSMQQ8BP4. They carry the random client ID and session
state. Their default lifetime is about two years, though most browsers cap a
cookie’s life well below that. They are set on nuanyue.com — not by a
third-party domain — and they are the only cookies this site sets.
Who processes it. Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, acting as our processor. Their handling is governed by Google’s privacy policy.
How to opt out. Any one of these is enough:
- Block or delete the
_gacookies for this site in your browser. - Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Use a content blocker, or a private window.
Nothing here is gated behind the measurement script, so opting out costs you nothing. The pages work exactly the same either way.
Search
Search runs entirely in your browser. The search box is powered by Pagefind, an index that ships with the site as static files. Your query is matched locally in your browser and is never sent to us or to anyone else.
What Is Necessarily Processed
Hosting. The site is served through Cloudflare, which — like any web host — must process your IP address and user agent in order to deliver a page to you. This is ordinary request handling, and Cloudflare may retain short-lived logs for security and abuse prevention. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not combine it with any other data.
Links to Other Sites
Most pages link to developers’ own websites, and some link to the App Store. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else’s site, and their privacy policy — not this one — applies.

Changes
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page changes with it. This revision is the one that added the Google Analytics section above — and removed the claims that the site ran no measurement script and loaded no third-party resources. Those claims were true until now.
